What is SM Scholarship

The SM College Scholarship is a two-decade program that believes that after a family member graduates from college, he or she may now help his or her siblings in attending school in order to help and lift their families out of poverty.

What are the Benefits of the Scholarship

The SM College Scholarship provides the following benefits to its scholars:

  1. Full tuition fee
  2. Monthly allowance
  3. Free choice of specialization in any field offered
  4. Job offers with the SM group when the scholar graduates
  5. Fun and informative activities and developmental programs
  6. Part-time job opportunities during Christmas and sem breaks

Qualifications

  • Be a fourth-year Grade 12 public high school graduate from a school in one of the specified areas who completed Grade 10 and;
  • Grade 12 students from private schools in the selected area;
    • With vouchers from the Department of Education (DepEd) and;
    • High school grade 10 students (public high schools)
  • For Grade 12 – 1st semester, a general weighted average grade of at least 88% or its equivalent is required.
  • A total annual household income of at least P150,000 is required.

Requirements?

  • 2×2 ID picture
  • Duly accomplished application form
  • PSA-certified birth certificate
    • Latest grade 12 or the 4th year report card
    • Parent/Guardian’s Income Tax Return for 2017, Certification of non-filing of income
    • There should be documentary attachments to the application
  • The sketch of the home/location to the nearest SM mall.

What is the General Average?

The required general weighted average for both the fourth year (2nd or grading period) and grade 12 (1st semester) is at least 92%. 

Last but not least, the overall household income should not exceed P150,000.00 per year.

The opening date of online application for SM Scholarship is February 1, 2023.

The deadline date to apply for SM College Scholarship is March 30, 2023.
